Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we enter a season when illnesses are more common, please remember our district attendance policy:

A written note explaining the reason for a student’s absence is required upon the student’s return to school and must be submitted to the front office within five school days of the absence to receive an excused absence. If a written note is not received within five school days, the absence will remain unexcused. The school will accept a parent note for an excused absence for up to three days in a quarter unless there are extenuating circumstances. Absences beyond three days in a quarter will require a doctor’s note or prior administrative approval, depending on the circumstances.
